How do we get to your club?

Travelling from the southern end of the Gold Coast of the M1 motorway continue take exit 66 and continue north over Smith Street onto Hyslop Road. Travel north for approximately 250 metres and then turn left at Hymix Road. Continue for 1.4 kilometres and after passing under the overpass road look for the yellow Indian head sign approximately 100 metres on your left, take this driveway and proceed to the clubhouse.

When travelling south on the MI motorway take exit number 66 and continue toward Gaven onto Smith Street, travel over M1 motorway and then turn right onto Hyslop Road, then left onto Hymix Road. Continue as per above instructions.

What equipment do I need?

Covered in shoes, equipment can be hired for $10 per day plus $7.50 insurance. If you have some equipment of your own, our shoot director Dave or Cleve will check your equipment to ensure it is serviceable.

How old do you have to be to participate in this sport?

The only requirement is that you are old enough to hold and shoot a bow in a safe and effective manner. Our members range from 5 years to 70 years of age.

When can I join your club?

After completing 3 visits which includes a practical safety induction and probation period, the Committee meets and prospective members are assessed for admission as members.

Is there any instruction given when I first attend?

Our Shoot Director Dave and Cleve provides practical instruction in the safe and proper use of a bow, he can also provide advice regarding the correct equipment to purchase for the type of archery that interest you.

When can I visit your club?

During your first three visits you need to contact our Shoot Director Dave on 0449565219, he is at the club between 9am and 12 midday most Sunday.

If you are voted in as a member you will be able to visit to practice any day between Sunrise and Sunset.

Do you have competitions?

We have a Club shoot every month which contributes points toward a yearly trophy for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class. There are a number of sanctioned shoots at various clubs around south east Queensland, some of these shoots are also weekends away at which we sleep in tents , caravans and camper trailers.

There is also the State of Origin shoot which is held at Casino, NSW each year as well as the National 3Daaa National Titles which is held alternately at seaside and country locations in New South Wales. Membership in 3Daaa also entitles you to shoot in other interstate competitions.

How much does it cost to join the club?

To join the club there is a one off joining fee of $50.00, a junior membership is $35 per year, an adult membership is $60 per year and a family membership is $100. You must also join the 3 D Archery Association. The Association provides insurance cover for its members as well as hosting the National Titles each year, the cost of the 3Daaa membership is $30 for Juniors, $40 for adults and $85 for a family.
